I have been in the insurance industry for almost 15 years and before that in the residential construction industry for almost 20 years. Throughout my tenor in business, I have lead many successful teams and it always was based on two things….communication and tangible proficiency steps. In every business, there are two different and forever present ideologies….sales and marketing vs administrative and accounting. Both are correct, but it is like comparing Math class to English class. In Math class (administrative and accounting), it does not matter who teaches the class….two plus two will always equal four. However, in English class….the grade on your report is subjective. One teacher could give you an “A” and on could give you a “B”.
