Stuart Fullett

Stuart A. Fullett is the managing shareholder of the firm. Stuart’s practice is primarily concentrated in the representation of condominium, townhome and homeowner associations. A former municipal prosecutor who also handled numerous types of civil and criminal cases before joining the firm, Stuart heads the firm’s litigation practice, which includes community association construction cases, developer disputes, fair housing claims and covenant and rule enforcement issues. Stuart also directly oversees all community association assessment collection matters handled by the firm and provides counsel to community associations regarding governance issues and transactional matters. Stuart’s previous experience working in the building trades affords him valuable insight in approaching construction issues encountered by the firm’s clients. Stuart received his B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago in 1985 and received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 1988.  Stuart is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Northwest Suburban Bar Association (including its Debtor/Creditor Committee), the Community Associations Institute (CAI), the Association of Condominium, Townhouse and Homeowners Associations (ACTHA) and ACA (American Collectors Association) International, has been recognized based on as survey of his peers as a Leading Lawyer (top lawyer) in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 as a Leading Lawyer as one of the top lawyer based upon a survey of his peers, has been involved with the Village of Lake Zurich Industrial Zoning Working Group. Stuart frequently authors and is quoted in articles relating to community association law and gives lectures at community association seminars and trade shows and before professional property management firms and other community association industry professionals. Stuart has served as an instructor for accredited continuing education courses for community association managers.

Jonathan Wassell

Areas of Practice

Jonathan D. Wassell represents community associations in any and all transactional and litigation
matters. Prior to joining the firm Jonathan was an associate attorney at a civil litigation firm in
Chicago where he was responsible for all matters related to litigation before administrative
agencies, federal and state courts.


Education and Admissions


Jonathan graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009, with a
bachelor’s degree in History. Jonathan then obtained his J.D. from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign College of Law in 2012, where he participated in moot court and was a
member of the Public Interest Law Society.
He is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and Kane County Bar Association, and is licensed
to practice before all Illinois courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern
District of Illinois. Jonathan is also a member of the CAI Education and Legal Forum Committee

Bob Prince

Cervantes Chatt & Prince P.C.

Bob Prince is a Shareholder at Cervantes Chatt & Prince P.C. and heads the firm’s Association Law practice.  Bob has spent his entire career representing condominium and common interest community associations of various types and sizes as his primary focus.  Bob assists boards with amendments, collections, governance issues, turnover, developer disputes, contract reviews, rule enforcement and discrimination cases, among others.   Bob has also represented associations in litigation     matters involving municipal entities, including cases involving the possible deconversion of the condominium and the winding-up of business.  Bob has drafted association loan documents for banks lending to associations.

Bob graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2009 summa cum laude with his law  degree and has been representing associations since that year.  Bob also earned a Master of Science in International Commerce and Policy from Valpo, graduating with Highest Honors.  Bob        received his undergraduate degree from Illinois College.

He is actively involved in the Illinois Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), serving on its Board of Directors and Magazine Committee.  He is frequently asked to speak at events sponsored by CAI and other association trade groups.  Bob has taught a portion of the curriculum for CAI’s DCAL program for community association volunteers.  He has also written dozens of articles on hot   topics in association law and has been quoted in numerous articles on association law in trade publications and newspapers.
